- It was a little slow in building but the Aquaman story line has been one of the bright stars of the DC's rebirth. The story-line that has building both here and in the Mera mini-series comes to an epic conclusion here. It is a good yarn, capably told and plotted; the art is spectacular. My one complaint is that the final pages seemed a little truncated. Maybe an epilogue or something would have improved this... giving us some direction of where Aquaman - and Mera - will go next or some "teaser" of some new enemy. The teaser that did exist might make a big difference for the DC universe (I assume), but it really doesn't tell us much about what it means for Aquaman and Mera as individuals. I'd also like to have something more about where "Dolphin" will be going. She's too cool to just fade away.
These are quibbles though. The story is a good one, the art wonderful. Well worth the read. - This volume finishes up one of the greatest comic book runs. The story is amazing and aquaman continues to have some of the most beautiful art styles in current comics
- Great, Rath did not give up easy. I'd also like to add Mira for life!!!
- Wow, It took a lot of volumes to finally finish but the main story is all wrapped up and now, Aquaman is onto the next phase of his adventure. It was great to finally see him face a quality villain for once and the ending made me excited for more.
