- Recently my friend, photographer Paula Swift published a wonderful book about documenting the lives of families with children. Starting her career as a photojournalist she had just embarked on a new adventure of creating a catalog of memories for growing families. This is when our paths crossed. My son was six months old and I will never forget one of our sessions in our back yard with him in a vintage crate surrounded by beautiful New England foliage.
Now, 10 years later we still have photo sessions every year and I feel so blessed to have met Paula when I did. Our family story is told through her art. Many of these photographs are in her new book, which is a joy to thumb through as the warmth of it seeps in your soul.
I feel that this book is a must read for every young family. - This book is not only great for anyone wanting to learn professional tips - it's just a beautiful book to look through. Paula's style and unique approach is wonderful! Her photos not only capture emotion unlike any photographer I've ever seen/known; they bring out emotion as well.
